This is from the most recent Live-Action movie I worked on. A UK/India production about a man-eating leopard at large in an Indian Safari Park.

My objective in this scene was to show an attack by a leopard. Without showing a leopard!

An exploding spaceship!

I'm a bit obsessed with pure geometric dynamics in cinema. This animatic is just two shots. Initially I started drawing them to set up a crazy action scene in space I want to board, but then I got sucked into animating the panels. Sometimes I can't resist trying to capture that all-important thing called movement. It's what the 'movies' are all about after all.
